The garden as therapy

Now, sitting in the State Library, having returned The Persimmon Tree.
Glorious spring day.
Reading The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski. Mesmerizing writing.
Dreaming of working in publishing, anything to do with books and writing.
Contemplating writing an article on the therapeutic benefits of gardening to your mental health.
It is a bit more exciting than writing a straight case study, which has not been inspiring me.
My brother is back in Australia in Port Fairy - such a picturesque spot. Unfortunately he has not been well, wondering how he is going.
Son Julian is working! However he has to travel all the way to Mawson Lakes. But thank goodness all his hard work in hunting for work has paid off - with Form 700, working on a big building for uni SA.
I have booked two weeks hols in January.
Talking gardens with my hairdresser yesterday.
The garden can be a healing activity.
It is just that I lke to make the decisions and let some one else do the actual work(!)
Saw Made in Degenham yesterday at the Capri cinema. Highly charged account of the fledging equal pay campaign for women - enjoyed that trip back to 1968.

Wonderful start to the season of spring for the garden.
I like the idea of a garden, it is the practice I struggle with.
Been bookclubbing and working - very early start which I loathe.

What would make your life more wonderful?

What would make your life more wonderful - ? - this is a question I am meant to be journalling, but just lately there have been quite a few body blows.
Big centrelink bill, work place uncertainty following the budget and a diagnosis that we all wish would go away - but it follows this hereditary pathway and it doesn't wait for anyone.
Preparing a worship service and I seem to be dwelling on the topic of exiles. What does it mean to feel a long way from home - see Jeremiah 29 - who says make the best of it as you'll be a long time on the outer. Where does Jerusalem fit in to this - the spiritual home to so many of the worlds religions - how did we end up with that scenario!
By the by there is very little art in Robe, which was dissapointing.
