Review of How Starbucks saved my life : how one man who had it all lost everything - then found it again at Starbucks / Michael Gates Gill.
Some harsh critics in the house I see. I do not need to read a linear history of someone's life for it to be considered decent. You sit in a cafe and memories are triggered. People, places, scents. Michael Gates Gill is writing as therapy. How did I get here? Making sense, so life doesn't all make sense. We have many desires that conflict. I went along for the ride and I guess it helps if you are a coffee fiend!

Review of Truth / Peter Temple.
Peter Temple can nail a person with a few sharp words. Delicious text, Stephen Villani - chief of homicide is the lead man. A mix of altruism versus self obsession. A razor wire written interwoven tale of the savage, brutal and mundane life of Melbourne crime and retribution. A modern day Power without Glory. Punchy and powerful. Read it!

Review of What makes us tick? : the ten desires that drive us / Hugh Mackay.
This is a five star read. Hugh McKay is a social researcher who taps into our prime motivations in life. As some one who is very interested in mental health, spirituality and wellbeing this was facinating stuff. Hugh gets to the heart of what really drives us and why we are such a confused and complex mix.
